UPDATE on BENTLEY
Sometimes life throws us a curve ball and things don't play out according to our plans. One of those curveballs landed in Bentley's Mom's lap and she was forced to look for a new home for her beautiful and well loved dog. She decided to avoid the Classifieds and contacted us instead, and was able to care for him until the right home could be found. It took a couple of months and many interviews but the perfect situation came available. Bentley now has a larger family and another Siberian to play endlessly with. His old and new family keep in touch and things have worked out beautifully. We are happy to have been able, in a small way help this happen.

Kingford now has a loving family of four people and also has a 5 year old malamute as a playmate. He goes for daily walks and has a huge fenced in back yard for playing fetch.
His new pack was sooo excited to have him become another family member!

ACE: This handsome boy was picked up alone wandering the streets. He spent the next six weeks in a local Shelter and no one ever inquired about him. He was out of time and the Shelter called us to see if we could take him. Of course we said 'yes' and did. Ace has the most wonderful and loving temperament and fit in well in his foster home. He was cared for by the BCSHC for over a year until the most perfect home became available for him and it was with greatest joy we took him to his new home January 2011. This was a very, very important placement because Ace is a very, very Special Siberian Husky indeed!!
Akira: was just under 1 year old when she was surrendered for destructive gardening and shedding too much mess with her hair. She is a typical Siberian and wants someone to spend time with her. Akira is a soft and loving little girl who needs some TLC and training.
Update: ADOPTED!!
Akira, is now the queen of all she surveys. Living in a wonderful home with a family of four loving people to care for her. She goes jogging every day and has been to obedience classes, passing nicely. Akira now has the best life: security, activities, bundles of love, and lots to eat. Best of all she comes back to visit :)

Alpha: was rescued from euthanasia by the BCSHCR who provided her with temporary housing. Alpha is very sweet and easy to care for, loves hugs & kisses! She is crate trained, and will be a wonderful companion.
Her original owner surrendered her when she did not get along with her female littermate. Alpha is paired up with a young puppy in her foster home and shows only the desire to play.
Alpha/Kaya update:
Kaya is doing great, has adapted well to her new surroundings. She sleeps in our room and has decided to pull her blanket out of the crate and sleep on the floor with it. We are able to leave her have the run of the house while we are at work with no problems. She listens well, is very, very smart and learns so quickly. She is responding to her new name very nicely and enjoys her snuggles & tummy rubs in the evenings. She's such an amazing girl!!
